Connecting Admissions Recruiters and Underrepresented Minority High School Seniors
Sponsored by Johns Hopkins University and MCPS NAACP Parent Council
This event for underrepresented minority high school seniors and college admissions officers, who are responsible for admitting students of color, is being held in recognition of the unique challenges facing underrepresented minority students, during the college admissions process. The evening offers a unique experience for underrepresented minorities to gain exposure to the nuanced admissions processes of colleges and universities that fit their interests. Additionally, students will be exposed to financial aid and academic resources. Unlike large all-inclusive college fairs, and pre-programmed slide presentations, the evening will give students an opportunity to talk one-on-one with Admissions Recruiters in a small, interactive environment.
